Campus Data Insight: Supporting university students to become data trailblazers

Campus Data Insight (CDI) is a collaborative programme between the North Kalimantan Provincial Government, the Central Statistics Agency and the University of North Kalimantan, aimed at preparing a generation of ‘data-literate’ academics. Rooted in the philosophy of ‘Better Data, Better Life’, this programme encourages students and lecturers not merely to read data, but to process metadata, create infographics and write evidence-based articles using the E-Dataku Regional Data Portal. Through schemes such as data ambassadors, internships in regional government departments and the Data School modules, CDI fosters a sustainable data culture that strengthens the National Statistical System and supports inclusive development policies.
