SKALA Six Monthly Progress Report July – December 2023
This report provides information about the progress, achievements and challenges of SKALA’s implementation from the period of 1 July to 31 December 2023. This is the first period of implementation, following the development of the program’s initial annual work plan.
The program has had a strong start, engaging with stakeholders across its partner ministries and subnational governments, as well as civil society and other DFAT programs to advance several key agendas. It has done so while continuing to build its team and regional presence. Continued engagement across levels of government has fostered trust and increased momentum during the period. In addition, it has allowed the team to expand the breadth and depth of their knowledge on key issues. This has been further supported by an internal effort by the team to further clarify its direction with the development of Thematic Action Plans (TAPs). These TAPs have been consulted with government partners and form the basis of revisions to the annual workplan which will provide the program with a clearer focus going forward.
