Southwest Papua Launches Social Protection Program for The Elderly
On 17 July 2023, the SKALA Program supported the Government of Southwest Papua (PBD) to launch the Social Protection Program for The Elderly named PAITUA. The launch was symbolized by striking the Tifa (traditional music instrument) by the Acting Governor of PBD, Muhammad Musa’ad, witnessed by Australia’s Deputy Ambassador to Indonesia, Stephen Scott.

On June 20-23, 2023, located in Yogyakarta, SKALA supported the Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), in collaboration with the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), held a socialisation workshop for the Gender Inequality Index (IKG).
Updating Data to Increase the Welfare of Villagers
Tapping into local government system of the Papua Information System (SIO Papua) to update Regsosek’s micro data. The Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas together with Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) have completed the socio-economic registration data collection at the end of 2022.
The SKALA Program Officially Launched In West Nusa Tenggara Province
On 23th of May 2023, the Government of Indonesia and Australia inaugurated the commencement of the SKALA Program in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province. The launching event was marked by the striking of the gong by the Vice Governor of NTB, DR. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Jalilah, MPd., at the governor’s office, Mataram City.
Subsidiary Arrangement for SKALA Program Is Signed
30th March 2023 is an important milestone with the signing of the Subsidiary Arrangement (SA) between the Australian and Indonesian Governments to support Indonesia in the decentralised and governance sector with the signing of new Sinergy and Collaboration for Service Delivery Acceleration program (SKALA).
