Growing old is a natural part of life, and elderly are not merely objects but empowered subjects of development. East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has become a pioneer in creating an age-friendly community through the Regional Action Plan for Elderly (RAD Lansia). 

To realise an age-friendly society, cross-sector collaboration is essential. Government of Indonesia, through the Ministry of Finance and the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving the wellbeing of elderly through various social protection policies, healthcare services, and economic empowerment initiatives.
