SKALA is Making Great Strides in 2023-2024!
Recently, SKALA’s key stakeholders convened to discuss the program’s accomplishments and formulate strategies to foster even stronger partnerships. The two-day meeting was attended by key government officials, both from national and subnational, including the Regional Secretary, Head of Bappeda, and representatives from the Directorates of SKALA key Ministries. The meeting provides an excellent opportunity to collectively appreciate achievements and chart a course for the future.
During the meeting, participants engaged in a Sense Making exercise facilitated by SKALA’s partner, CHORA. The exercise aided in mapping out emerging strategic issues utilising a simple and humorous storytelling style. Ibu Tirta Sutedjo, Director of Poverty Reduction and Community Empowerment, Bappenas, expressed her hope that the SKALA Program’s support will accelerate the realisation of inclusive development planning. She also expressed her aspiration that this activity serves not only as an avenue to evaluate achievements but also as a driving force in planning future strategic steps.
Bapak Petrarca Karetji, the Team Leader of the SKALA Program, submitted a thorough report highlighting the positive momentum from the previous bilateral programs. The report underscored the Australian Government’s long-standing support and the fruitful partnership with the Indonesian Government. Furthermore, SKALA targeted provinces have shown impressive implementation progress, and collaboration amongst Ministries – and its Directorates – is also progressing well.
In conclusion, the meeting provided an optimistic outlook on the SKALA program’s progress and the consensus from the meeting is that the SKALA Program is off to an excellent start!
